VIVE LA DIFFERENCE

COMMENTS BETWEEN HOST AND GUEST
An email received in March 2024 upon the return of French guests to France: They wrote: "From our meeting which will remain an exceptional human experience. We will not forget the welcome you gave us, yourself Audrey and your niece, Victoria. We felt like we were part of your family. All your kindness, your expressions of sympathy, without forgetting your cooking... yum your gumbo! and Victoria's pancakes! She is an extraordinary woman who maintains an astonishing level of enthusiasm. Good luck to both of you. Hugs and kisses. And keep up the great work".

Go to my website, please. www.cajunbedandbreakfast.com. You will see and be able to compare distances and rooms but, even if my big house seems more beautiful than Vicky's, what is very good about her is that, she will pamper you and accommodate you! Let me know if you received this message please and if you were able to see his information. Vicky is on my home page. Also, reread the great NOVEL which will tell you how find your photo and information on VICKY and Tim. telephone: 985-870-0721. 311 Pecan Street downtown I am 3 miles north of Houma.

Below, you will find my guide telling you about everything one can do and see in the region and elsewhere. This is what I send to everyone who contacts me from the first contact. Whether you decide to book with me or not, I hope that what I have prepared below will serve you during your visit to us in Houma, capital of the parish (canton) Terrebonne.

My sister, Maudrey had passed away peacefully in the night on September 21, 2021. She was being treated for cancer, but it was COVID that reached her lungs and was the cause of her death! I miss her a lot and that's clear. But, her daughter Victoria (Vicky Bergeron Colwart) took charge. Even if she doesn't speak French, her customers "sing her praises"!

I'm giving you the prices since 2024 because the Guide du Routard (which hasn't come since before Covid)? published (by mistake) prices from 20 years ago....in their 2023 Guide) This is one of the reasons why I am now called the Grand Guide du Routard for the Terrebonne (HOUMA) and Lafourche parishes (Thibodeaux) It was in March 2022 that I prepared this "GREAT NOVEL" because I remained hoarse trying to explain to the Europeans who called me... everything that needed to be done at home!! PRICES:The rate for an adult in a room is $90 per night, but if you rent the room for two nights in a row the rate is only $85 per night. All taxes included and GREAT breakfast. The rate for two people is $125 per night. If you rent two nights in a row, the rate is $120 per night Cash on arrival. NOT BEFORE! When there are children sharing the parents' room the price varies: the age and sex of the children for placement in the rooms: Price (children under six years old...free) From 6 to 12 years old, $15.....from 13 to 17 years old...$20. When the third person is an adult (over 18 years old) sharing the parents' room....$50 per night and if you want a separate bedroom, the price for one night is $90..more than one night ...$85. Please Note: We no longer have rooms for 4 adults!

A SHORT NARRATIVE BY: AUDREY BABINEAUX GEORGE
Audreys Little Cajun Mansion first opened its doors in 1995. Audrey since, joined her twin sister 'Maudrey', whose currently deceased and had earlier started her own bed and breakfast 'Chez Maudrey', in 1988. Audrey had worked for the Terrebonne Parish School system as; a French, Spanish and English teacher. While Maudrey, whose passion was cooking, worked in the culinary arts field. For many years, we both served dinner partly for our bed & breakfast lodgers. Today, we still provide (but only), a full breakfast for all our scheduled guests. Audrey has three bedrooms and three bathrooms for her guests. Maudrey has a total of 4 bedrooms and four bathrooms for her guests. Audrey is responsible for reservations at both site locations.

Maudrey Babineaux Bergeron and Audrey are the 15th and 16th children from a family of seventeen children. They grew up on a cotton farm in Lafayette, South Central Louisiana. They have 540 nieces and nephews as they are now great, great, great aunts. The Babineaux Clan meets every two years usually in the month of October.
