My family consisted of ten girls and seven boys. We were all
French-speaking and were brought up to value our French language and culture.
I am presently retired as a high school teacher of French, Spanish, and
English. Among my most prized personal achievements are: serving
as State Supervisor of Foreign Languages and receiving the Academic Palms
by the French Government.
I am currently a member of the Terrebonne Parish Council for the Development of French in Louisiana, a state agency whose basic objective is the strengthening of cultural, touristic, and economic ties between Louisiana and French-speaking countries namely, Canada, France and Belgium.
I operate two agencies at this time. The first one is called: A La Maison Cajun Bed & Breakfast Association. It consists of 40 families who can receive four to eight persons at a time. The second company is called 1 Authentic Cajun Tour!, and its basic purpose is to assist tour agents plan their stay in South Louisiana as long as they lodge their clients in our French-speaking homes. Presently, we can lodge up to 75 persons per day. We receive at least l00 buses of French visitors annually.
Therefore, if the charm of Louisiana interests you, do not hesitate contacting me.
See you soon, and...
